Outstanding debt how do creditors trace you ?

i owe around �35 thou i ran up this debt when i had a very well paying job , but i was made redundant , The banks keep saying they will take further action against me but as i live on a c boat and all my mail goes to a personel mail box i do not see what they can to find me , i have looked my self up on the electoral register and the last entry is about five years old should i be bothered
