What do I say to people who tease me about...?

I'm a redhead, so I definitely know how it is to be fair. I enjoy being different, but I do sometimes wish I could tan. Sunblock is such a pain (as well as really gross), and most swimsuits would look better on a tan girl. I usually just let it go. Don't worry about it too much. Try to make a joke about it. A few hundred years ago, everyone wanted to be fair skinned. Think about it this way: Yeah, the alligator's cool and all, but the albino alligator is AMAZING!
