Another interesting aspect is that the Giants signed Mays and Monte Irvin and could've added Henry Aaron to the outfield, but were apparently not impressed with what they saw. Imagine an outfield of Irvin in left, Mays in center and Aaron in right. A strong Giants' team could have been a dynasty.
