What do I call my recruiter when I see him in public?

Hey I'm currently in DEP for the Navy and I live in like a really small town. Well I saw my recruiter today and I wasn't sure what to call him. So I just ignored him and kept on goin, but what should I call him? Petty Officer? Sir? or what?
